Diggy hints at RSS nexus with Sri Sri
Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Saturday targeted spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravishankar by suggesting a nexus between him and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
His comment referred to a book release function on the speeches of BJP president Nitin Gadkari where RSS leaders were present on the dais.
Having recently joined the micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Singh posted another comment saying “Sri Sriji releases Nitin Gadkariji’s book. Advaniji and Suresh Soniji of RSS on the dais. Sri Sri Ji ko Jai Ho!”
The comment apparently came after Sri Sri Ravishankar released the book on October 8 in the national capital where he had given a call to “spiritualise” politics.
Mr Singh had earlier posted a comment alleging that the anti-corruption movement by Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev were part of an overall plan of the RSS-BJP to divert attention from the Sangh’s “terror links”.
He even warned Sri Sri Ravishankar that he too could be used by the Sangh Parivar.
Mr Singh had claimed that while Baba Ramdev and Anna Hazare were Plan A and B of the Sangh Parivar, Sri Sri Ravishankar was Plan C.
However, the spiritual guru in his response said: “People write so many things. I do not react to every comment. Everybody is entitled to his views.”
The BJP said Mr Singh was suffering from “foot-in-mouth syndrome”. BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy said, “The BJP is constrained to ask this question whether he (Mr Singh) has been made the in-charge of dirty tricks department of the Congress. Or has the Congress leadership given him the responsibility to raise trivial issues to divert attention from corruption.”
