Diggy: I don’t trust BJP, RSS
The Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Monday stated that he could not trust the BJP, RSS and VHP on what they could do after the Ayodhya title suit verdict is pronounced by the Allahabad High Court on September 24.
Mr Singh remarked "they could do anything" about the BJP, RSS and VHP when reporters asked him about the likely fallouts of the court verdict. "I can not trust BJP, RSS, VHP. In 1992, we made a mistake when we accepted their affidavit," said Mr Singh.
The Congress general secretary went on to say that he is in the know of preparations being done by the saffron groups. "I have come to know that they are making preparations and they could do anything," said Mr Singh, while adding that the Congress has asked its MPs and MLAs to stay put in their respective constituencies and work for communal harmony.
On the stand of the BJP and RSS who have stated of legal routes for aggrieved party, the Congress general secretary stated that "a glimpse of their strategy would be visible during L.K. Advani’s visit to Somnath later this week".
Mr Singh also stated that "the Hindu fundamentalist organisations in Bhopal and Indore have put up boards for recruitment in their ranks" and called upon the Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to control "overzealous" people in this regard.
