Diggy: RSS hatching conspiracy
Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Thursday questioned the credibility of yoga guru Ramdev and accused the Rahstriya Swayam Sevak Sangh of hatching the conspiracy leading to his “campaign against corruption”.
Mr Singh was speaking to media-persons on his arrival here on Thursday evening. Drawing attention to the RSS, those belonging to this organisation who believed in the cult of terror and violence were behind Ramdev only to divert people’s attention from steps being taken by the Congress-led UPA government to weed out corruption. When asked why, the Central ministers had gone to receive Ramdev and were engaged in a dialogue with him despite the charges that are now being hurled at him, the Congress leader said that the idea was to engage him in a dialogue but at the end of it he went back on his agreement which was given in writing.
To a pointed query, Mr Singh said that there are many complaints, including those of tax evasion against Ramdev’s trust and the companies associated with it. “We want him to make public the list of all his donors,” said Mr.Singh, adding “he has been making a profit of more than hundred percent over the cost price of some medicines — what kind of charity is this?” Mr Singh lashed out at the BJP leaders who were equating the police action against Ramdev with the Jalian Wala Bagh incident.
