Diggy takes a dig at Baba Ramdev again

Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Wednesday continued his tirade against yoga guru Baba Ramdev and said he has made a mockery of himself by his midnight escape from Delhi’s Ramlila Grounds when the police went to pick him up for defying prohibitory orders.

It is not just a coincidence that now it is Ramdev and on an earlier occasion it was the Maulana of Lal Masjid in Pakistan, who had also run away from the police in women’s attire, he said and went on to describe both as fundamentalists.
Talking to this newspaper, Mr Singh questioned the credentials of Ramdev and his close associate Balkrishna. The Congress leader demanded that there should be a thorough investigation into the money laundering and especially the allegation of faking marksheets and other crucial documents by Balkrishna. He also questioned the method of yoga being taught by Ramdev and said that yoga experts should closely examine this and give the correct advice to the people. Mr Singh went on to advise Anna Hazare on his 74th birthday that he should desist from sitting on frequent fasts due to his old age.
