Diggy worried on Sangh terror, attacks BJP CMs
Expressing concern over “Sanghi” terrorism, AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh on Friday attacked BJP chief ministers of Gujarat and MP. Making a reference to the reported findings of the SIT which probed the Gujarat riots, that no records, documentations or minutes of the crucial law and order meetings held by the state government during the riots had been kept, the Congress leader said it is a “criminal offence” and is needed to be probed thoroughly “at whose insistence it was done”.
Mr Singh said, “If the SIT has found some incriminating evidence against the Gujarat chief minister and from what I have seen in the media, I believe that incriminating records have been destroyed or tampered with, it’s a criminal offence in itself and needs to be thoroughly probed.”
When asked if he would seek Mr Modi’s resignation, Mr Singh said, “morality is not an issue” for the BJP and that Mr Modi will follow the line of party chief Nitin Gadkari “who found Karnataka CM B.S. Yeddyurappa’s act of corruption as immoral and not illegal saying the latter had no need to resign”. Accusing MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan of “misusing government money” for “misinformation campaign against Christians and minorities”, he said, “Mr Chouhan wants to go on hungerstrike saying he has no money but I have got the information that `150 crores was spent on Narmada Kumbh”.
