Hyderabad: AICC general secretary in-charge of AP Congress Digvijay Singh on Monday made it clear that as soon as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi find time to convene  the core committee meeting to discuss the Telangana issue, “the  issue will be settled.”
Talking to the media in Delhi after a meeting with Osmania University Student JAC members, Singh said, “I met the Congress president and submitted my report.
We are waiting for  inputs from Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana and Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha after which Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh will convene the core committee meeting to  take a final decision on Telangana.”
He said he could not say  when the core committee meeting would take place. “We are still waiting for  road maps from the state Congress leaders, on whether to have a division or keep the state united, based on that high command will take a final decision,” Singh said.
Singh reportedly offered sweets to the OUJAC members saying that the high command was likely to announce a final decision soon. But the leaders refused to take the sweets preferring to  hear  sweet news on Telangana instead. He assured that they will get sweet news too.
The OUJAC leaders, D.B. Yadav, Pidamarthi Ravi, Marri Anil and  others who met Digvijay Singh demanded that the Centre hasten the  decision on Telangana issue.
They requested that the Congress core committee discuss the issue at its next meeting scheduled on July 12.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
