Dikshit admitted to hospital due to fever, viral infection
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has been admitted to a private hospital following high fever and viral infection, and her condition is ‘stable’.
73-year-old Dikshit was admitted to Escorts Hospital on Tuesday evening after she was diagnosed with high fever.
Dr Ashok, Chairman of Escorts Hospital, said she was admitted to the hospital with the complaint of viral infection accompanied by persistent high fever.
"Due to high fever, she was dehydrated. Today her temperature has normalised and she is now in a stable condition," he said.
A senior official at the Chief Minister's Office said that Dikhsit has been advised three-four days stay in the hospital for complete recovery from the infection.
