Don’t target workers, Mulayam warns Maya

SP President Mulayam Singh Yadav on Thursday, warned UP CM Mayawati that if she did not stop targeting SP workers across the state, she may have to face a similar fate when the SP came to power.
“Offenders like her will not be spared when we return to power and she must realise that this is not a hollow warning any more,” he said while addressing a press conference here on Thursday.
Mr Yadav, who had visited Independent MLA Raja Bhaiyya, SP MP Shailendra Kumar, SP MLA Vinod Kumar, SP MLC Akshay Pratap Singh and seven others who are lodged in Bareilly jail on Wednesday, said that so far, the Mayawati government had targeted over one lakh party workers and had implicated them in false cases.
“This trend must stop or the BSP will have to pay a heavy price,” he said.
