Driver kidnapped, thrown on rail track

Muzaffarnagar: A truck driver was abducted and later thrown on a railway track here after his hands and legs were cut by five armed men, police said.

Anis was allegedly kidnapped by a transporter Bobi Tyagi and his accomplices, who suspected him to be behind the theft of Tyagi's stolen truck, they said.

Anis, whose hands and legs were chopped off by the accused, was found near the railway track here yesterday and was rushed to a hospital in serious condition, police said.

A case has been registered against the five accused, including the transporter, on the charges of kidnapping and attempt to murder in this connection, they said
