Drunk man rapes mother-in-law

A middle-aged man allegedly raped his 65-year-old mother-in-law in an inebriated state in Nag Buarad village near here, police said on Thursday.

The accused, Ramesh Gawahane, 45, beat up his two sons forcing them to sleep outside the house and criminally assaulted the elderly woman on Wednesday after his wife had gone out.

The victim was sick and had come to her daughter's place for treatment, police added.

The accused has been absconding since the incident and a search has been launched to nab him, they said.
