Durga, husband to seek cadre change

Suspended IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal and her husband Abhishek Singh, also an IAS officer, may seek a change of cadre from Uttar Pradesh. Sources close to the couple say they want to shift out of UP as soon as things normalise.

“Both are very upset and feel they won’t be allowed to work normally in UP now. Once the current issues are resolved, the two will probably apply for a change of cadre,” said a friend of the couple.
Durga originally belonged to the Punjab cadre but got it changed to UP after marrying Abhishek. The two would like shift to Maharashtra now, a friend said.
