With Eid on Friday, it's double blessing

Hyderabad: Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Friday. The Shawwal moon was sighted on Thursday, marking the end of the month of Ramzan, which had 29 fasting days.
Secretary of Ruiyat-e-Hilal Committee, the moon-sighting panel, Moulana Qubul Pasha Shuttari said that the committee made the announcement after getting confirmation from all the districts that the crescent moon has been sighted.
It is after many years that Eid is being celebrated on a Friday. “Any Friday is an Eid for Muslims. Eid has come on Friday, making it doubly-blessed. There will two khutbas, one after the Eid prayer followed by another one after the noon prayer,“ said Moulana Dr S.M. Sirajuddin.
