Eid-ul-Fitr to be celebrated in Kerala on Thursday

Kozhikode: Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated in Kerala on Thursday, a restricted holiday for Government and PSU employees.
The moon was sighted over Kapad beach, near here on Wednesday, said Muslim scholars, including All India Jamiyyathul Ulema general secretary Kanthapuram AP Abubacker Muzlyar and Panakkad Sayyid Hyderali Shihab Thangal.
Palayam Imam Jamaludin Mankada said southern Kerala also would observe Eid on Thursday. It falls on the first day of Shawwal, the month which follows Ramzan.
