Eight IAS officers transferred in UP
In an administrative reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday transferred eight senior IAS officers, an official spokesman said here. The spokesman termed the transfers as a routine measure. Principal secretary higher education Raju Sharma has been shifted to the revenue board as member (judicial). He will be replaced by Sanjy Agarwal, who was on the waiting list, he said. Principal secretary sports and youth welfare Lalit Varma has also been transferred to the revenue board as member (judicial). Principal secretary medical education Kumar Arvind Singh Deo has been posted in place of Varma. Principal secretary Food and Civil Supplies Jacob Thomas has been shifted to medical education department in the same capacity with additional charge of minority welfare and Muslim Waqf department. Principal secretary of IT B.M. Meena has been divested from the charge of minority welfare and Muslim Waqf department. Principal secretary housing and urban planning J.N. Chamber, who was also attached with the Chief Minister's residence, has been shifted to food and civil supplies department. Principal secretary PWD Ravindra Singh has been given additional charge of housing and urban planning.
