Ekbal flays private practice call
Kottayam: Neuro surgeon and health activist Dr B Ekbal in a Facebook post criticized the alleged move from the part of Kerala Government Medical College Doctors Association (KGMCDA) to pressurize the state government to reinstate private practice of the government doctors.
Dr Ekbal said that the association is attempting to fish in troubled waters. This is when the state is facing a crisis with regard to the monsoon related diseases.
"The move from part of the doctors is to pressurize the government for reinstating private practice in the demand that they could cater more to the needs of the public.Saying that they will cater to the patients in the free hours is intended to resume the private practice which had been held earlier", he said.
If the doctors start private practice,it will ameliorate the hardships of the patients. He demanded the all to defeat the designs of a group of doctors to resume private practice.
