Employees of AI unions to report to duty wearing black bands

Employees of various unions in Air India will report to duty wearing 'black bands' from on Friday to protest against the alleged mismanagement of the national carrier and non-payment of emoulments.

This was announced by the Joint Forum of Unions, Associations and Guilds of Air India.

A spokesperson for the protesting employees said the decision was taken unanimously by the various unions and others.

"Around 30,000 employees will protest by wearing black band on their right hand from tomorrow to protest the alleged mismanagement of the national carrier and non-payment of emoulments," he said.
