Father beats minor son to death

An eight-year-old boy died on Saturday after being brutally beaten up by his father in Singda village here, police said.

Rohit, who was sent by his father to buy sugar from a local market, was beaten last evening over some issue by Vijendra Ram when he returned, they said.

The boy succumbed to his injuries this morning, they said, adding that Ram has been arrested. A case has been registered on the complaint of the deceased's mother, they said.
