Ferrari ride was dad’s birthday gift to 9-yr-old
Thrissur: Nisham King, who uploaded the video of a child riding a Ferrari, on You Tube, has made it clear the nine-year old was allowed a joyride on the exotic car as a birthday gift.
The statement was made through an update on You Tube, which said, “I had been promising the Ferrari drive to the kid since 6 months. So (I)gave him the Ferrari key on his 9th b’day. That was on April 6. He's a pretty confident and careful driver, and is used to driving most types of cars... even (he drove) my Lamborghini, Bentley coupe, Carrera turbo etc.”
The update came as netizens were trying to identify the children seen in the car –one driving the car, and another sitting by the side-and find the motive behind the underage driving.

Meanwhile, Thrissur citypolice commissioner P Prakash told Deccan Chronicle on Friday that the traffic police would probe the incident.
Traffic police SI Unnikrishnan said he had got instructions from the commissioner seeking necessary action.
“Following the order, I watched the YouTube video on Friday. I am convinced there was a clear violation of the traffic rules, be it a private road or not. I have contacted the concerned police station and started an investigation, he said. However, Thrissur RTO officials said they were unable to find out the details of the Chandigarh-registered Ferrari car, CH04K8545.
They were trying to identify the owner, they said.
