Fire cracker mishap in Andhra Pradesh

Two villagers including a young woman died and at least 10 others sustained injuries in a fire cracker mishap in Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday evening, police said.

The incident occured between 5 pm and 5.30 pm, when fire crackers stored in a house in Paradi village of Bobbili mandal accidentally exploded when they were being transported, resulting in instant death of two and leaving atleast ten others injured, they said.

The deceased were identified as B. Eswaramma (20) and N Chinna (30), a senior police officer said, adding that the injured were rushed to Bobbili government hospital. Further investigations are underway.
