Fire in Sanchar Bhawan

A fire broke out at Sanchar Bhawan, housing the Department of Telecommunications, in the capital early on Friday morning, fire brigade officials said. Nobody was was injured in the blaze which was reported from the 13th floor of the high-rise on Ashoka Road at around 4 am, they said, adding 13 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire. Some furniture and computers were damaged in the blaze. The cause of the fire is suspected to be a short circuit.
