Five injured as two groups clash at gurudwara
Two groups clashed at a gurudwara here on thursday ahead of a meeting of Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee, injuring five persons.
The incident took place at Rakhabganj Gurudwara this morning when supporters of Paramjeet Singh Sarna and Manjeet Singh clashed.
The meeting of DSPC Working Committee was scheduled for the day.
Though both the groups alleged that shots were fired, Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said it could not be verified.
"There was no evidence of firing. It could not be verified. It appears to be a case of rumour mongering," Bhagat said.
Five persons suffered injuries in the scuffle, police said.
