Five pilgrims killed, 7 injured in road accident in Bidar

Five pilgrims were killed and seven injured when the van in which they were travelling collided with a lorry near Humnabad in Bidar district on Sunday.

They were returning from the temple town of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh to Mungrol village in Maharashtra's Osmanabad district when the mishap occurred, police said.

The van driver was among those killed.

While four were killed on the spot, another succumbed to injuries in a hospital at Humnabad, where the injured were admitted.
