Flights diverted due to inclement weather

Two flights of Air India Express (AIE) and an Emirates flight from the Gulf sector to Kozhikode landed here after they were diverted due to heavy rains and poor visibility in the Kozhikode airport.

AIE's Sharjah-Kozhikode flight with 132 passengers and six crew and Doha-Kozhikode flight with 70 passengers and six crew landed at the airport here on Friday morning due to inclement weather at the Kozhikode airport, Air India sources told PTI.

Later the Dubai-Kozhikode flight of Emirates with 400 passengers also landed the airport here, the sources said. Passengers of the Sharjah flight were sent to Kozhikode by buses while the Doha flight was expected to be operated if the weather improves.
