Four killed in road accident

Four persons including two women were killed when the car in which they were travelling hit a tree at Banjerupalli outskirts here, police said on Friday.

The incident took place on Thursday under Dharmaram police limits, nearly 60 kms from here when Gabbeta Kumaraswamy, his wife Vijaya, son Anirudh, daughter Krithika, and four others were on their way to Narsampet village in Warangal district, to attend the funeral of their relative.

When they reached Banerjupalli outskirts, the car rammed into a tree with high speed, at a curve resulting the instant death of Kumaraswamy (40), Radha (55), Mamatha (35) and Akhil (6). Whereas Vijaya (38), Krithika (11), Anirudh (8) and Shobha (37) received grievous injuries and where shifted to the District Head Quarters Hospital here, where their condition is said to be out of danger, police said.

Kumaraswamy was driving the vehicle at the time of accident, police added.
