Fratricide case: CRPF constable kills commandant, SI
Apparently upset over the duty allotted to him, a CRPF constable on Saturday allegedly shot dead an assistant commandant and a sub-inspector besides leaving a Havildar seriously injured at a paramilitary camp in Bihar's Rohtas district.
Constable Rahul Raj fired at them using his service rifle when the three were asleep inside a camp at Raipurchore village near here, superintendent of police Vikas Vaibhav said.
While assistant commandant Rohit Deevan and sub-inspector R.N. Pandey died on the spot, Havildar Anil Singh was referred to a hospital in Varanasi for treatment, Vaibhav told PTI.
Rahul Raj was later taken into custody, he added. The SP said though the investigation is still on, it is believed that "some grievances over allotment of duty" might have led to the firing.
