French woman found hanging in Puri

The body of a French woman, married to a local youth here, was found hanging in her house on Thursday, police said.

Sarah Michelle Carboski (30) was married to an Odiya youth Lalatendu Jena in March 2009 and the couple were staying in a rented house at Sreekshetra Colony in the pilgrim town where Jena owns a restaurant.

Though the motive of the incident could not be immediately ascertained, it prima facie appeared to be a case of suicide, Superintendent of Police, Puri, Anup Kumar Sahu said.

The post-mortem would be conducted, he said adding an inquiry into the incident was continuing.
