Gay rights activist found murdered

Gay rights activist Anil Aayiramthengu was found murdered at the harbour quarters in Thankassery on Thursday morning.

A native of Idachira near Karunagapally, Anil, 39, was working as a watcher cum toll collector at the Sakthikulangara harbour.

The body was found with the throat slit and injury on the stomach.

Police said his friend Unnikrishnan came to the quarters in search of Anil after the latter failed to appear for his duty on time, and found the room closed from outside, and strange scenes around the quarters.
