Girl’s death in freak road accident; four arrested

Four persons, including a school administrator, have been arrested in connection with the death of a seven-year-old girl S.Sruthi, after slipping through a hole under her bus seat.

Besides the administrator, those arrested include the bus driver and two others. All of them have been remanded to judicial custody.

The girl, a second standard student of Zion Matriculation School, in Indira Nagar in Selaiyur, Tambaram died when she came under the rear wheels of her school bus on Wednesday after she slipped through a hole on the bus floor. The rear wheels of the bus ran over her, killing her instantly.

The school is closed down on Thursday.
