UP govt files status report

The Uttar Pradesh government, on Friday, filed the status report on investigation into the alleged rape and murder of a 14-year-old girl in Lakhimpur district before the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court.
The court has fixed July 4 as the next date of hearing.

A division vacation bench, comprising Justices S.N. Shukla and D.K. Arora, have asked the state government to file complete investigation report.
The status report on investigation of the case was filed on behalf of the state government by Advocate General Jyotindra Misra.
