Govt moves motion to suspend 11 AP MPs
New Delhi: The Lok Sabha was adjourned following pandemonium over a government motion moved by Parliamentary Affairs Minister S Kamalnath seeking the suspension of 11 MPs from Andhra Pradesh belonging to the TDP who have been creating ruckus over demand for a unified state.
But Opposition leader Sushma Swaraj was up on her feet opposing the motion. She said though the BJP supported a separate state of Telangana, it opposed the suspension of the TDP members.
When the motion was put to vote by Speaker Meira Kumar, pandemonium broke out leading to an adjournment.
