Gowda to be sworn-in on Thursday
The newly elected BJP Legislature party leader D. V. Sadananda Gowda will be sworn-in as Chief Minister of Karnataka on Thursday.
The swearing-in is scheduled for 1630 hrs, Raj Bhavan sources said.
Governor H. R. Bhardwaj will administer oath of office and secrecy to Gowda.
Sources could not say whether Gowda will alone be taking the oath or some more ministers will also join him.
Gowda decided to advance his swearing-in by a day, in view of President Pratibha Patil's three-day visit to the city starting from August five, sources said.
