Grand finale is Rahman’s Jeeyo, Utho
A.R. Rahman had the 60,000-strong Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium crowd up and dancing Sunday night with his rendition of the theme song Jeeyo Utho Badho Jeeto, which got brickbats when first unveiled in August.
The Oscar-winning musician, who had promised to go beyond Shakira’s Waka Waka for the World Cup, delivered a powerful performance as the crowd cheered with the `40-crore aerostat coming alive with vivid imagery.
