Hafiz tweet to Pak: Don’t stay silent
With allegations flying high between Indian agencies over the credibility of intelligence inputs and the alleged fake encounter of Ishrat Jahan, 26/11 mastermind and LeT founder Hafiz Saeed has prodded the Pakistan government to break its silence “at a time when India’s own officers are busting the myths”.
Using the opportunity to give a clean chit to Pakistan in the 26/11 case, Saeed @HafizSaeedJUD tweeted, ‘’By the grace of Allah, people within India are calling this a conspiracy of their gov, ‘evidences’ India presented were worthless.”
Saeed’s comments come in reaction to allegations made by a former home ministry officer, R.V.S. Mani, who claimed that a member of the CBI-SIT team probing the Ishrat case, had narrated how the December 13, 2001 attack on Indian Parliament and the 26/11 attacks “were orchestrated by the government in power with the objective of strengthening the counter-terror legislations”.
“Pakistan government should not remain silent at a time when India’s own officers are busting the myths,” the JuD chief says.
In half-a-dozen tweets posted on his Twitter account in recent days, Saeed says, “We have been saying this since first day, any person associated with Jamat ud Dawah has no relation with the 2611 attacks in India.”
“We challenged India to prove allegations of our involvement in #Indian parliament attack; we were ready to accept any trial or punishment,” he added.
“I stood trial for six months, JuD was found innocent against charges led by Indian Government on bases of propaganda having no legal stance.”
Saeed goes on to accuse the Indian agencies of “acts of terrorism”.
