Hanuman to emerge as management guru
Lord Hanuman, on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti this Saturday, will take on the avatar of a management guru.
A local businessman, Sunil Gomber, who is a staunch Hanuman Devotee and has converted an entire wing of his house in Lucknow into a Hanuman Museum, will be organising a lecture of the management skills of Lord Hanuman.
“Lord Hanuman was one of the best management gurus in our mythology. His communication skills can be seen when he visits Sita in Lanka and though he is not known to her, he wins her confidence. He could excellently use human resources to the maximum and the bridge building to Lanka was an example of this,” says Mr Gomber. Mr Gomber says that over the years, chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa had given him “skills of patience and time management” and it is obvious that this aspect of Lord Hanuman has never been explored.
He further said that while “jayantis” of Gods and Goddess were usually celebrated with bhajan programmes and havans, he had decided to organise a lecture where experts who have done studies on Hanuman will place their views.
Mr Gomber’s museum has a wide range of books on Hanuman, statues of the Lord in various forms, from Bal Hanuman onwards and other artefacts that make fascinating viewing — for instance, a lamp shade with Hanuman Chalisa inscribed on it.
