Hazare is admitted to hospital

Gandhian and social activist Anna Hazare, who suffers from osteoarthritis, has been admitted to a city hospital for treatment and rest, hospital authorities said on Wednesday.

Mr Hazare, who underwent a routine check up in the hospital on Monday, was admitted on Tuesday night and administered an injection to relieve the pain in his knee, Dr Parag Sancheti, who is treating the activist, said.
Dr Sancheti said Mr Hazare has been undergoing regular treatment at the hospital for his knee problem for quite some time and was expected to be “all right” shortly to carry out his schedules. —PTI
