Hazare suffers from cold, raises concern

With just three days left for his fast, anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare’s health raised some concerns among his supporters, after the 74-year-old was found to be suffering from a cold and cough. However, Mr Hazare’s close aides said that there is nothing to worry about.

“He has caught a cold and cough, but there is no major cause of concern and he is keeping well,” Sanjay Pathare, close aide of Mr Hazare said. While many visitors and mediapersons flocked to meet him at his hometown in Ralegan Siddhi on Saturday, he preferred to take rest at the Yadavbaba temple instead. “He has been resting since Saturday morning and not meeting visitors,” added Mr Pathare. Mr Hazare had asked a few of his aides to get medicines for cold and cough on Friday. “He has been taking medicines,” he said. Mr Hazare decided to change the venue from New Delhi to Mumbai due to the extreme weather conditions in the capital.
