HC orders cctvs to monitor old woman’s upkeep
Consistently tortured by her own son, an 82 year-old woman got a big relief from the high court when it ordered to get CCTV cameras installed at her residence to keep a vigil on the behaviour of the son and daughter-in-law.
The Rajasthan high court on Tuesday in Jodhpur also directed the police to supervise the installation of the equipment and watch the videos footage every fortnight. The court passed this order while hearing a revision petition filed by the widow, Vimla Dhariwal, against her son Arun Dhariwal and daughter-in-law Lalita. The court also asked the son to deposit `8,000 to help his mother lead a life with dignity.
“The court directed that the CCTV cameras will be installed.”
