Headley recced PM’s residence
New Delhi, Oct. 19: Pakistani-American Lashkar-e-Tayyaba terrorist David Coleman Headley had videographed the outer boundary of the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh’s 7 Race Course Road residence after the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack during his final trip to India in March 2009.
What could be a matter of great concern for India is that he also conducted “detailed videography” of other key locations in New Delhi for “future attacks”, which included the residence of the Vice-President of India, the Israeli embassy, India Gate, Paharganj, Raksha Bhavan, the National Defence College and the CBI headquarters.
He had also taken videos of the Mumbai office of Israeli airline El Al.
Headley made these disclosures in a 106-page confessional statement to the National Investigation Agency. The videos had been sent to his handlers in Pakistan, believed to be that country’s ISI.
