Hegde will meet others for next step

Karnataka Lokayukta Justice N. Santosh Hegde said he will be meeting other committee members on the future action. Justice Hegde said several groups which claim to be part of the civil society are upset as they too wished to be part of the committee.

“There are complaints that the committee doesn’t have representatives from all sections of society. Is this a committee to draft a bill or a constituent assembly committee? Where were these people when Anna Hazare decided to sit on a fast after the meeting with the Prime Minister failed? I think the vested interest group didn’t anticipate that Anna could draw such huge crowd. That is the reason why they are using all methods to derail the process. I will be in Delhi on Saturday and Sunday. If other members too are in the city I will discuss on continuing to be in a committee which is deliberately attacked by these vested interests,” Justice Hegde said.
