Himachal: 10 Delhi tourists die in accident

Ten Delhi tourists, including three women and four children, died and two others injured when their mini van fell into a 250metre-deep gorge at Jot on Khajjiar-Chamba road, 12 km from here, on Monday. The incident happened on Monday afternoon when the Tempo-Traveler carrying tourists from Khajjiyar to Chamba fell into the gorge,

SP Chamba Madhusudan said, adding that the cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained. He said nine travellers died on the spot while another succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital. The injured have been admitted to Zonal hospital at Chamba. The bodies have been extricated from the wreckage and sent for post-mortem. Relatives of the victims have been informed about the incident, he said. —PTI
