HIV-infected man commits suicide

A resident of Ambala city infected with HIV/AIDS virus committed suicide by hanging himself on Saturday, police said.

Anil was diagnosed as HIV-positive a few months ago and was undergoing treatment at a hospital, police said.

His wife had also committed suicide a few months ago by consuming poison as she was also HIV-positive.

The couple had adopted a girl child who now has to live with her grandmother.

Anil went to the bathroom for taking a bath but when he did not came out after an hour, his mother Ramkali got suspicious.

She informed the neighbours who broke open the door of the bathroom and found Anil hanging from a hook.
