Hizb militant kills another for helping Army
One Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) terrorist was killed by another ultra of the same terror outfit in Marmat area of Doda district, allegedly on suspicion of providing information to Army/security forces while three over ground workers were apprehended by the forces in Kishtwar district of Jammu region. Father of ultra, however, made contradictory statements about the killing of his son, first admitting HM cadres’ involvement in the killing and later alleging that Army and STF eliminated him in a cordon. Defence sources maintained that HM terrorist Firdous Zaral alias Furkan Ansari alias Chhotu, son of Ali Mohammed Zaral resident of village Thilru of Doda was killed by his tanzeem colleagues in Marmat area of Doda.
A senior officer of 16 Corps stated that incident precipitated indirectly by the relentless pressure exerted by security forces took place at about 8.30 pm on Tuesday in inaccessible Bheri village near Bihota in South Marmat, when a group of terrorists was surrounded by security forces based on intelligence of their presence in the area.
“Due to presence of Army troops in close vicinity at the time, the killers made good their escape in the dark, leaving behind one AK 56 Rifle, three AK magazines and 60 rounds of AK ammunition. The killed terrorist is brother of slain terrorist Yusuf Zaral, killed by security forces in April, 2009,” he informed.
