Huge BJP rally in MP OVER FAGGAN ARREST
The Madhya Pradesh unit of BJP on Thursday organised a huge rally of tribals at Mandla to protest against the arrest of former Union minister Faggan Singh Kulaste in the cash-for-vote case.
According to reports received here about one lakh tribals joined the “Jan Akrosh” (people’s anger) rally at Mandla, the district headquarters of a predominantly tribal district. The rally was addressed by leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj. She questioned the justice in the case “when those who had bribed the MPs are in power while those who had exposed this have been sent to jail”.
Ms Sushma Swaraj said that the UPA had come to power in 2004 with the support of the Left parties but when they threatened to walk out of the alliance with the UPA on the issue of the nuclear deal with the United States in 2008, the UPA would have lost its majority on the floor of the House.
