IAF officer seeks UP CM's intervention in daughter's rape case
An IAF officer, whose 17-year-old daughter tried to end her life after being allegedly sexually exploited by a Deputy SP rank police officer, on Wednesday appealed to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to direct the police to file a rape case.
A case had been registered against the officer at Chakeri police station on the father's complaint after the girl attempted suicide on March 13 this year.
However, the father today alleged investigations were not being made properly and the officer "has not been booked for rape".
Appealing to the CM to direct police to file a rape case against the officer, the father also demanded a probe by senior police official in the case and immediate removal of the officer from his post.
The father alleged the accused's wife and son were threatening the girl of dire consequences if she does not withdraw the case.
