IAS officers in UP want Central duty
Call it the Durga Nagpal effect or the political turmoil in Uttar Pradesh! A large number of state IAS officers are now queuing up for Central deputations, while those already posted at the Centre are reluctant to return to work with the state government.
Sources said over three dozen officers had applied for a Central deputation, but the state government is holding back the necessary no-objection certificate.
Most officers being denied an no-objection certificate were influential in the Mayawati government, and they feel the present government is “taking revenge on us”.
