Iconic painter Ganesh Pyne, 76, is no more

Legendary painter Ganesh Pyne died Tuesday morning at a private hospital in Kolkata following a massive cardiac arrest.

With Pyne’s death, the Bengal School has lost one of its visionaries who carried forward the artistic legacy of Ababnindranath Tagore and Gaganendranath Tagore.
Pyne, 76, is survived by his wife, son and daughter-in-law.
