If you fight Congress, CBI will go after you: Mulayam
Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav has said that it is not easy to fight the Congress because “the government has 1,000 hands and can send anyone to jail”.
Mr Yadav, addressing party workers here on Wednesday, said that if one does fight the Congress, he will be chased by the CBI. “The government has thousands of hands... It can use the CBI... send you to jail,” he said.
Mr Yadav said that he was fighting for survival on all fronts. “I supported the UPA government in bad times, but the Congress has put the CBI after me,” he said.
He went on to add: “You think there is no fight. I am fighting everywhere. The Congress has the CBI and can frame anyone. You should be prepared for the general election and make sure that we have a Third Front government in place this time.” He said once again that elections will be held at the end of this year.

Sibal talks of his ‘file fear’, golden eggs
Pawan Balli
New Delhi, April 3
IT and communications minister Kapil Sibal said on Wednesday that he fears signing files as he doesn’t know how the courts will interpret such decisions. He claimed that the Supreme Court has ensured that the telecom sector never lays a golden egg again.
“A bureaucrat thinks why should I take this decision if 10 years from now somebody will haul me up in court and say it is time for you to go in ... I fear ... I, personally sitting in that chair, I fear signing something because I don’t know what is going to happen in a court of law five years from now,” Mr Sibal said in response to a question at the CII AGM. The minister said if the courts are to involve themselves in economic policy-making “we are in dire trouble...”
