India mulls team to Pak for information
India is considering sending a commission to Pakistan to collect critical information related to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack which that country has failed to deliver in response to more than a dozen dossiers sent by New Delhi in the last two years.
In a fresh proposal sent to Islamabad, New Delhi has conveyed its keenness to send a commission which can collect the voice samples of 26/11 masterminds who were present in the control room in Pakistan directing the 10 terrorists who stormed Mumbai, question key suspects like Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, Zarar Shah and others arrested in the case and seek information based on disclosures made by Pakistan-American LeT terrorist David Coleman Headley. Headley had identified voices of two ISI officers who handled the 10 terrorists apart from shedding light on ISI’s role in coordinating the Mumbai attack from ‘’beginning to end”.
The move has come after Islamabad conveyed to New Delhi that it wants to send a commission to interview the magistrate and the investigating officer who recorded Pakistani gunman Ajmal Amir Kasab’s statement.
A senior government official said that New Delhi is concerned about Pakistan’s inaction despite repeated requests and dossiers sent to that country.
