Ahmedabad: BJP’s poster boy and the poll icon for the next general elections Narendra Modi threw an open challenge to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on who would be able to deliver a better Independence Day speech – the last ahead of general elections.
Modi’s slogan: 'Lal Quila to Lallan College, the nation would judge the two speeches'. While Singh would be speaking from Lal Quila (Red Fort), Modi would deliver his speech at Lallan College here.
Modi invited to address UK parliament
The Congress was quick to react saying Modi is living in a 'delusion of grandeur.’ Earlier, the media had compared the speches of Modi and Rahul Gandhi and the Gujarat CM was 'declared’ the winner.
