Indian, Pak navies rush to Suez aid

In the wake of the Indian Navy drawing heavy criticism from six Indians aboard freed Egyptian merchant vessel MV Suez and their family members in India for not escorting the vessel to safety after its release by pirates Monday,

defence sources confirmed Wednesday evening that an Indian warship would indeed escort the ship as it nears Salalah port in Oman.
There were reports earlier that a Pakistan Navy ship PNS Babur was heading towards MV Suez to escort it after the ship faced another pirate attack and sent distress signals.
